Does this software require MS-Office to run properly?
Absolutely not. OpenOffice.org will perform virtually all tasks which can be done with MS-Office and all files can be saved in MS-Office formats so that they are completely interchangeable and useable within MS-Office if desired.
Why are you selling this software if it can be downloaded free?
Although this is true, many users do not wish to attempt downloading and installing this very large suite. Some may also be concerned about encountering spyware or malware or simply prefer the speed and convienence of a installation CD which can be used over and over. Yet others may have a slow computer or network connection or no connection at all! Open Office is only available on CD from registered Community Distributors like myself who are permitted to charge a small fee for burning and delivering an installation CD. Therefore, the fee is charged foe this service and not the software itself.
How can you provide telephone and email support for no charge on this low cost item?
I am a retired and disabled former software and computer instructor and enjoy helping others access and learn of the benefits this great software. I also consider this as a public service which helps you save money now and forever into the future. Free your files, free your computer, free your wallet!
How much hard drive space is required for this suite?
Approxmately 352MB for the Windows English version. Other OS vary in size as do other than English versions. All versions are available at this same price and are available upon request.
